“Up Against the Wall” (2001)

This campaign was Inspired by former pop star Alannah Currie (MAdGE) and featured 85 New Zealanders, including many celebrities posing in T-shirts by Marilyn Sainty.

They spoke up to protect GE-free food and to protest against the Royal Commission on Genetic Modification report.

In hindsight, the celebrities who took part in the movement in 2001 are economic heroes.
